Kelley's new job
To everyone that does not know...I got a new job. I started with The Rubin Group 3 weeks ago. The Rubin Group consists of 3 lobbyists that are based out of Ft. Lauderdale. I am running the Tallahassee office and it has been challenging, but fun. It is hard to get everyone on the same page when they are in 2 different offices, but this is my goal. I am grateful that I work back downtown and only 2 blocks away from Caroline's daycare. Committee weeks start the first week in February and Session starts the first week of March so I will be busy until May. I am looking forward to the busyness of Session, but I will probably be complaining about it come mid March. I want to thank Gail Crisp and Kelly O'Neal at Floridian Partners for keeping their ear out for jobs for me. I really appreciate it!
Pictures from January
Here are some random pictures that I thought I would share:
On New Years Day, reading a book at grandma and grandpa's. The book is "Life's Little Instruction Book."
The funny hat that we wore to daycare one day last week. It was cold, but not that cold.
Let's Go Duke
We went to the Duke/FSU Basketball game in Tallahassee so Jake could take Caroline to her first Duke game. The game started at 2:00 and that is right in the middle of Caroline's nap time so she was not her usual self, but I think she still had fun. She loved to point out that they were playing basketball or ba-ball as she calls it.
2008 National Championship Game
We watched the National Championship games at home and we were, of course, thrilled with the outcome. Go Gators!
Circus 2009
Jake and I took Caroline to the Ringling Brother Circus in Tallahassee on January 6th. Caroline had a good time watching the animal acts, but the other things she was not very interested in. Caroline watching the tigers.
Granddaddy's house
We went to go visit my day at his house one day and took Will and Walker with us. We got some good pictures of them...
Mary cooked us some good chicken and dumplings for lunch and we took home some brownies and cookies. It was great!

Will's Birthday in Tallahassee
Pee Pee in the Potty
Caroline got a potty seat from Santa for Christmas. On December 31st she went pee pee in the potty for the first time! She did it again on January 1st at grandma and grandpa's house and once more since then. It must be pure luck that she did this because she has not done it since and most of the time she will not even go sit on the potty. We are not expecting any miracles of her being potty trained any time soon, but we thought we would start talking about it and creating a habit. We learned our lesson of talking about things before we do them with Santa last year (read below in Christmas 2008).
Viewers be ware...I took pictures of it.

Christmas 2008
Caroline had to go sit with Santa twice before we got this half way decent picture. She would cry and cling to Jake and I the first time so we went home and talked about Santa and how nice he was. I guess it worked.
