Fun afternoon at home

I bought Caroline a small pool at Toys R Us the other day. Thursday we decided to blow it up and let her try it out. The weather was nice, but the water was cold so she did not stay in too long.

Caroline likes to babble when she crawls. She is starting to follow us around the house and she gets into everything in her path, so watch out!

Caroline has been starting to scoot around the house and day care for the past few weeks. But on March 18th I actually saw her crawl. Take a look!

Welcome Berkley!

Berkley Mignon May was born Wednesday, March 5 at 7:25am. She weighed 7 lbs, .06 oz and
was 20 1/4 in long. Congrats Margot, Brian, and brother Laird.

Lets Go Duke...

We took this picture before the Duke/UNC game last Saturday. Too bad Duke lost, but hopefully they will do well in the ACC tournament and the NCAA tournament. Speaking of the NCAA Tournament, Jake runs a bracket, free of course and winner gets bragging rights, and I have won the past two years in a row. As a loyal gator fan I chose Florida to win in 2006 and got lucky, but I knew they would win in 2007!

Something has taken over my house!

Our brand new dishwasher has leaked all over our kitchen and dining room. Our insurance company called a water removal company and they have set up 2 large dehumidifiers and 4 fans in our house. They are really loud and are totally in the way, but hopefully they will be gone by the weekend.

Tampa Weekend

For Christmas Kelley, Kate, Ed and I gave Pete and Brenda tickets to see "Jersey Boys" in Tampa. Kelley and I had seen it in New York and loved it so we were excited to go again.

Thursday after Kelley and Brenda got off work the 5 of us piled in the car and headed to Tampa. We arrived about 10:30 and were all tired. It was Caroline's first trip to Kate and Ed's house.

Friday was a relaxing day. Some of us went shopping to get the food for dinner on Saturday and then we all went to lunch.

Not long after we got back from lunch Great Aunt Peggi arrived. She drove in from SC to see everyone and to meet Caroline for the first time.










Thanks for coming Peggi! We all loved seeing you!

Kate, Peggi and Ed got the pleasure of baby-sitting while the rest of us went to the show. (Kate and Ed went the weekend before).
The show was fantastic again and I think everyone enjoyed it.










Saturday started with Kelley and I getting up and taking Caroline to visit Mary Hall and see her new place. Caroline likes going to see MH because she always buys her cute clothes. including this matching outfit.

The rest of Saturday was dedicated to celebrating Kate's ??rd birthday.

Around 5 Jeff, Vicki, Griffin, Liz, Steve, Peggi, Pete, Brenda, Kelley, Caroline and I had a "wonderful, fantastic, superb" dinner (I was the chef) of grilled ribs, kebabs and shrimp. It was a perfect day to sit outside and enjoy the weather. A good time was had by all and I hope everyone enjoyed the food.







The weather on Sunday was again perfect! We all walked up to the park near Kate and Ed's and took Caroline to the playground for the first time.



Caroline loved the swing as much as the one at home and although she is still to small to enjoy the rest of the equipment by herself she seemed to have a good time.

The drive back was fun. Kelley and I got to sit in the back with Caroline and she enjoyed having people back there with her that she could entertain.

Having missed out on her usual trips to the gym Caroline took the chance to get a quick bike ride in while we were stopped for gas. Thanks Grandpa for letting me borrow the bike!

Messy Face and More Updates

We wanted to share some updates with everyone...

Caroline has another tooth coming in. It is on the top middle and on her right side. It broke through this past weekend while we were in Tampa. It looks like the one beside it is approaching too, but we will keep you posted on that.

Caroline sat up by herself this weekend as well. Jake and Kate were in the room when she did it and they were so surprised when she finally sat up because apparently it took her a few tries before she got it. She went from her tummy to her hands and knees and then sat up. We tried to get her to do it again all weekend long so the rest of us could see it, but she did not do it again until Monday evening. I was in the spare bedroom cleaning out the junk closet and she was playing on the floor with Jake. She sat up really quickly and we were so proud of her. It looks like crawling is the next milestone and we will keep you updated on her progress!
